Aliasing and moiré have already been discussed several times here in the forum, so I decided to contact Kolari Vision and ask whether they would consider developing a drop-in OLPF for the Pixboom Spark.
At first, they said there were no immediate plans, but that they might look into it if there was enough interest. They have now told me that they are already speaking with someone about it and will receive a Spark this month to test compatibility.
For me, this would be a huge improvement. Aliasing and moiré can become very noticeable, especially when cropping into the image. A proper removable OLPF could reduce these artifacts significantly.
I would definitely buy one. When you already spend around €10,000–13,000 on a camera, paying another €200–300 for the best possible image quality seems completely reasonable.
How about you?
