I am interested in how the camera fans perform in dusty environments. From the product images, it appears that there is no air filter installed. Is that correct, or are you planning to implement or retrofit a solution for this? Or do I don’t have to worry about this for reason x?
Would like to know this too.
Why would we need a filter? I don’t think any of the cinema cameras I shoot with (RED, Arri, Sony) have filters. They usually have an isolated cooling path (as this has), so dust can’t get into the electronics from the airflow path. All you gotta do is shoot some compressed air into it from time to time to blow the dust out.
That‘d be nice. Just saw the fan without filter and want to be sure.
its better there is no filter. I was just shooting in the Moroccan desert and sand gets everywhere… like everywhere and its best you have access to blow it out. filters would get filled and air flow would be obstructed
I just know it from moving heads in the event industry. There, you can remove the air filter and clean it separately.
But yeah, as long as it can be cleaned easy with some pressure air, I‘m fine with it.
Hello!
I tested the camera in a wide range of environments including desert, fire, sandstorms, water surfing, and skydiving and it performed exceptionally well without any issues.
