Hi everyone,
I finally received my Spark today! I was backer #141, and I just wanted to say a huge congratulations to the entire Pixboom team.
The camera looks absolutely beautiful, and the build quality is even better than I expected. You can really see the amount of work and passion that went into this project.
Thank you to the whole Pixboom team for making it happen. I’m really looking forward to testing it over the coming days and creating some amazing high-speed shots.

It certainly is not clear it sadly never is with Pixboom, what they announce or tell us time wise judging over the last six plus months rarely happens. Even ten months down the line since we backed the project they are still announcing vague monthly shipping ‘windows’ instead of an actual date so we can be in a position to plan and schedule things. After various experiences we lost confidence sometime back…
Surely after manufacturing and shipping 160 cameras to date, they now have a good understanding and measure of their production line and can therefore announce an exact week our cameras will be shipped instead of a 30 day window ?
I got my shipping notification – I know I had written earlier that I was backer #167, turns out I had misremembered, I’m #187. ETA mid-week next week, probably a perfect time to send my Pyxis 12K in for its update finally

Downside: they only have 1 black SSD available - have to wait for the second one or get a silver one :D

Thank God that we passed the number 200, at this moment the color is unimportant to me, if necessary I will paint the ssd. I just need the camera to arrive.

I kind of wanted a black and a silver SSD, just so they’d be visually different in hand (easier to quickly identify card 1 and card 2). Color doesn’t matter in camera since it’s hidden behind a door.
I am going to laser engrave mine, when I get the chance. …

How much I want to get the camera as soon as possible when I think about it. Maybe it’s even better that I get it later, when most of the technical and software problems are solved and ironed out.
