While we all know already about the roughness of the UI, once you get used to its quirks it’s pretty easy to use, in spite of its odd and not entirely consistent use of physical buttons and the touch screen. I’ll be looking forward to the next updates to see some enhancements there.
Its build quality is excellent, including the lens mounts.
I had some time to do some initial test shooting with it, but not much due to taking my cat for a walk, and she decided to turn it into a two hour back yard exploration, during which I did get some footage of her, until I ran out of daylight. I’ll upload some footage soon; it’s not really dramatic slow motion stuff because it was mostly of my cat, but that also means that it’s very cute. I’d hoped to go attempt some bird photography today, but Murphy’s law got in the way.
I’m looking forward to pushing the slow motion capabilities and making some nice demo footage in the next couple of weeks. It will be a good excuse to update my reel
