Golf shoot! Turned out pretty good I think. BTS in this video.
New learnings:
1. Too warm skin tones
I’m struggling a bit with color correction/grading on the Pixboom material. The golfer guy in the video was very tanned, almost burned in some places on his skin, I think. Thus, his skin tones had a lot of red/yellow/orange/warm in them. And this seemed to be ‘enhanced’ by the Spark, in a way that the red/yellow/orange tones got oversaturated very easily.
But again, this guy was VERY tanned. If you look at how the iPhone 15 Pro interprates his skin tones in harsh sunlight, it looks like an overcooked carrot, with food coloring injected into it. Donald Trump’s got nothing on these orange iPhone skin tones!
I had to do lots of detailed adjustments, isolating the skin tones, only to get them to look ok at least.
Has anyone else experienced this, that the red tones are a bit too saturated, too warm skin tones? Or was it just that I happened to have a very tanned/burned guy in front of the camera? Haha…
2. Side handle with a record button
If we could have a side handle with a start/stop button, that would be SUPER helpful! I have not read all forum threads, so I am not 100% up to speed. If anyone knows if an accessory like this exists, PLEASE let me know!
