How many Canadians are there waiting?

Hi,

I am curious as to how many fellow Canadians there are waiting for the French manual to be completed before their order can be sent to them.

I’m backer #26 and I know there are others in a similar predicament as myself. It would be useful to know how many orders have come from Canada.

I honestly love seeing the content that new Spark owners are sharing on social media and on our community page. I am however very frustrated at how long this French manual is taking. I’ve had it explained to me the amount of people/departments that this manual needs to be passed through. Sorry this is 2026 and if this really was a priority as we’ve been told, it would have been completed by now. 

Anyhow who else is from Canada and what backer/order # are you?

Hi Mike! I’m also waiting here, i’m based in Québec and also frustrated about this delay, I was born in 1980 and as far as I remember products in Canada always been in English and French. So to know that they have someone on the team that is a french Canadian and that this was never brought up is a big fail in my opinion. I also agree that translating this manual should’ve taken 30 seconds to do with of course getting someone afterwards to verify everything but still. An extra 2-3 weeks is BS and who knows what the next update will be, “sorry guys it’ll be 2 more weeks” I’m getting very tired of refreshing my email and junk folder to see if I finally get the confirmation email and also coming here for updates. I just want that camera in my hands.

I’m backer 167, because I waited for the private email before backing. So I’m sort of in the middle here; frustrated by the delays, and now the missed weekly update since “weekly” lasted only two weeks. On the other hand, being #167 means that they’ll probably get to my camera at around the same time that they’d be starting with Canadian fulfillment anyway.

I hear you. I now also worry that when they’re finally ready to ship with the French manual, they will be out of parts due to having shipped to other backers. I am hoping my order is all packed and ready to ship, just awaiting that pesky manual. Sadly I know that is wishful thinking.

Another thing that bathers me is seeing all the issues that people are witnessing with their cameras like the stitch line between the two sensors, the dead pixels….
