Mutiny just listed Safe Tap Cables for the Spark in various sizes so we can directly power the camera via a D-tap / P-Tap battery.
I believe these are the first on the market and I’ve ordered a set for my kit… as well as his Power IO solution, so Thanks Michael for another project saving invention! This cable is literally the difference of the spark going on a coaster or not.

Is it made out of unobtainium?
what’s the purpose of this cable? Was going to power mine directly with a V-Mount on the camera. Is there a risk to fry the pixboom with a V-Mount battery?!?

Unfortunately lemos cost money and so does the safe tap… Their profit in this cable can’t really be all that much at his scale… yea, if he was making 10,000 of them he could sell it cheaper but unfortunately in the production world $130 for a cable is normal lol … but yes Mutiny specializes in Unobtanium Level Hardware
lol
Will definitely be using the v mount as well, however I mount cameras to coasters and I can’t have anything on the body that can eject at speed so the camera has to be powered by a cable rather then a latched battery.
I’m going to do a lot of FPV with the Spark and a vmount battery is way to heavy, so this is a necessity for me.
