100%. Over the years, I’ve had several V-mount batteries pop off cameras while shooting. Yes, it’s very infrequent, but I use gold mount most of the time (so way more opportunity for a failure) and have never had a gold mount battery pop off on accident.
I get that V-mount is the worldwide standard (good luck finding gold mount batteries when traveling internationally), but in the U.S. I only pick gold mount if given a choice.
