Quick tip: how to exit Pre-Recording Mode on Spark

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share a quick little tip I found today.

Like a few other Spark users, I’ve been a bit confused about how to exit Pre-Recording Mode. While using it today, I accidentally found a neat little trick: when you’re in Pre-Recording Mode, just use the touchscreen and long-press the Record button — that will exit the mode.

I also checked with Pixboom, and they confirmed that this is a usable feature. They said they’ll make this more obvious in the UI in the future, but for now, we can already use this feature.

Hope this helps anyone else who’s been wondering how to get out of Pre-Recording Mode!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this tip! Did it work with the hardware button as well? Don’t have my camera with me at the moment to try this.

Not yet — currently it only works with the touchscreen, not the hardware button.
