Thank you for confirming that vast majority of first 100 units went out.
That is fantastic to hear!
Will orders above #100 start shipping soon or it’s going to be paused for next weeks until you will get new packaging?
I feel your frustration dude. I had an email come through this morning from pixboom and I was like .. finally.. this has to be my tracking confirmation because I’ve already replied the confirmation email a while week ago and I saw the batch of cameras going out to the shipper…
nope. It was an email saying that there’s another two week delay. It really felt like like the straw that broke the camel situation.. so for first time through all this missed deadlines, I shared my frustration with support in response to that email.
even though I knew it wouldn’t change anything, it made me feel a little better to vent. I guess it just felt like ‘oh btw we just found another issue’ when we were already told that all was good to go.. quite a few times.
The issue was to do with the sub par PL mounts and the black ssd. I’ve asked them to supply the silver ssd but unfortunately I’ll have to wait for the PL issue to be resolved, which to be honest .. I’d rather wait for that to be fixed.
anyways.. just thought I’d comment to help share the pain.
Thanks a lot - this gives a bit more insight and I appreciate the honesty!!
One question: there was a worry about a hefty US tariff. Where did this net out with DHL? What have US customers experienced thus far?
Thanks!
One person from USA did mention he got his camera and nothing to pay!
I got mine Saturday and no additional fees were required.
That’s good to know! Thank you!
We received our camera today (USA). Just a (hopefully useful) data point, not trying to rub it in for anyone still waiting. No additional charges from DHL. Everything arrived perfectly, except the power cord for the wall AC power supply is missing. Having a ball shooting some small stuff around the shop today. More ambitious plans soon.
Thanks for the update Braincell! Glad there were no surprise fees. Really happy Pixboom has kept their word regarding that.
Cheers, it’s actually nice to see the cameras rolling out - You were #29?
That’s correct, #29.
Not true as usual , as have received no shipping confirmation
Once again I find your update deeply disappointing. Many months behind schedule, backers are still left dangling with vague shipping estimates while the team again flirts off and prioritises another international trade shows which us backers have no doubt paid for ! Attending marketing events instead of focusing all resources on fulfilling your loyal backers orders shows a clear misalignment of priorities. This lack of transparency, endless excuses and on going delays is pretty unacceptable. Pixboom is rapidly tarnishing its credibility before it even establishes itself. Backers deserve a clear delivery schedule, not simply more excuses and vague empty promises.
What is your order number?
agree
I’m backer #57, from Canada and the most accurate shipping date they gave me this week is : AFTER mid-june! LOL So, probably between july and september if everything is going well.
Do a box opening video please!
Received my package today. Had my tracking number show up just 1 day before so not sure what that delay was about (not pixboom teams fault thats on DHL I imagine) but none the less excited. Did a few basic tests of a few lenses and adapters on it today but plan to do much more testing this weekend.
Good news my sony 200-600 worked with the emount and will try more lenses and adapters tomorrow. Also threw my rehoused mamiyas on the camera and it looked great. Will be curious to try the pl mount with those lenses as they have issue with some mounts. Will report any bugs i find in the pinned post dedicated to that
Ah so you got pushed to first 100 shipment, lucky ![]()
It’s great to hear that Sony Lenses are actually working.
I was wondering in new 100mm Maco GM will work or not… Since it’s focusing is not mechanical.
I got my Pixboom yesterday, in LA. #92. one thing missing is the half of the power cord, that plugs into the wall… I have half. Obviously going to be using V mount batteries 99% of the time, but would for sure like to have the other half. Admin, what is the deal with that?
