Coming at this from a wildlife camera perspective:
E-mount and PL-mount would meet all my needs though Z-mount might be a little better than E-mount as you can adapt Z to E (as well as everything else).
3-4 second pre-roll would be all that is needed.
In the field, longer offload times mean more generator or battery time so would definitely prefer the faster USB 3.2.
A ProRes log option and a Raw option would be incredible.
Thanks for your work on what looks like an incredible camera! I’m currently living in China, would love to get some hands on time with the camera if it ever becomes possible!
Hi Ashael, we don’t have any camera testing planned in Montreal at the moment, but we do have a partner there. I’ll make sure to keep you updated until Pixboom Spark is ready to launch. Stay tuned!
I agree with all others asking for a wider ISO range, and also as much weather sealing as we can do with heat management. Very very excited for this. I have quit a bit of experience shooting on the Freefly Ember and the IO set up is bad (better with the new module) your prototype body looks much better. Weather sealing on the Ember is also suspect at best, and ISO range is extremely limited. So you already got 1 out of 3 figured out, excited to hear if you got the other two!
Hi Young. Sorry, late to the party. Just read about this. Excited about the high-speed prowess. What mounts are you considering? Whilst the standard PL is very welcome, it would be great to have swappable mirrorless mounts (L, Z, RF, E, X).
You know, the autofocus motors in Sony lenses aren’t quite built for such high frame rates. However, we might be able to perform autofocus before shooting to help with quick and precise focus selection. Let’s just say, we’re quite familiar with what these lenses can do.
Hello How would we go about getting on the list for testing? We are currently constructing a brand new Micro studio in Cleveland run 100% on Solar power called “SHEDIO” shedio.co and would love to test out a unit to see if we don’t have to spend half our budget on a Ember.
Hi Blind 7,I kindly suggest that you fill in your information at https://tally.so/r/3jEveR. This will help us better understand your request and effectively manage the testing unit.
This camera looks awesome. When are you thinking you will be releasing the 1st model in Australia? Have you thought about a detachable lens mount system, allowing the use of multiple lens types? And the question I am sure you have been asked a thousand times before, what will be the cost of the camera?
