I finally got around to swapping a lens mount and didn’t particularly like how it’s set up in regards to shims. Rather than having shims that live inside the mount, the ones on the Spark just sit between the mount and the body, meaning they are just kind of free floating there every time I swap a lens mount, increasing the likelihood of damage or loss of the shims.
Is this normal? I feel like every other mount I’ve ever had has the shims sandwiched inside the mount itself and you have to take the mount apart to get to them, so they’re physically protected from damage/loss by being integrated into the mount itself. You pop the mount off and the shims are just part of the package instead of separate.
