I am really fond of the Pixboom Cine sofware - it does what it needs to do, it’s easy to use and it’s stable.

The provided feedback is for V0.3.4.3 (8th May of 2026) so please take this in cosideration if you are viewing this thread in the later time:

1) Default config & presets - I cannot modify the default preset which is set to 24.000 FPS. The software ignores batch change of FPS. Please expose this in a text settings file we can modify.

2) No H265 settings & no ProRes on Windows - We have all-or-nothing - DNG or 4:2:0 HEVC. A fat, high-bitrate H.265/HEVC with 4:4:4 would be a great middle ground. Again, even a text settings file would be a major help.

3) Clipping point / false color

4) Performance - The CPU is under-utilized, staying at around 10-20% on a 12th Gen Intel processor, while the GPU sits at around 55-65%, with only 4 GB of VRAM being used on an RTX 6000 PRO Blackwell. As a result, 600 GB of footage is transcoded to HEVC in around 40 minutes. Since disk usage remains moderate, at about 180 MB/s, parallel encoding should be perfectly feasible.

  1. Default config & presets We’ll improve this in upcoming versions to make batch export more flexible.
  2. H.265 settings & ProRes on Windows Great suggestion — we’ll evaluate it for future updates.
  3. Clipping point / false color This is an important feature, and we’ve already noted it in our roadmap discussion.
  4. Performance optimization is something we’re continuously working on. Thanks a lot for sharing the detailed CPU, GPU, VRAM, disk usage, and transcoding data — this is very helpful for our team.
