I have an issue with the PixBoom EF mount. I brought a set of 8 x Zeiss Contax lenses and I had them Cine Modified with EF mounts and I had the iris delinked. The problem is the iris leaver is hitting the contact pins at the bottom of the EF mount so the iris will not move. It looks like the pins on the PixBoom EF mount stick out too far. These lens work perfectly on my other camera mounts and the origin Canon EF mount. Does anyone know a solution to this issue? Is there an EF mount for manual lenses only or do PixBoom have a mount without the pins?
I think this kind of issue can happen with third-party converted lenses. The conversion isn’t always a standard format, so even if the lenses work on some EF mounts, it doesn’t mean they’ll fit every EF mount. I’ve used native EF lenses on the PixBoom EF mount and had no issues at all.
Order the Sony E-mount for Pixboom and use an adapter for Canon EOS.
