Question on 20gbps usb-c data transfer rate

hi there, may i understand if the 20gbps usb-c connection is under USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 protocol or is it another protocol?

mac does not support usb 3.2 Gen 2x2 unfortunately. just wanting to know more

You’re correct. It’s a USB 3.2 2x2 interface. There’s a discussion about it here: SSD suggestion (USB4.0 not 3.2 Gen2×2)
