Warning! Spark freezing on Startup

I have sent an email to support, but wondered if anyone in the community has seen this and has a fix?

I added a custom resolution this morning, and the menu froze completely. I waited several minutes and nothing. So I turned the camera off. On rebooting, it just hangs on the black “Spark” screen. I have tried battery, AC, with and without lens etc. Same result - it doesn’t get past the Spark screen. Ugh.

I am using the latest firmware update. 

Heads up to anyone heading in the same direction - probably best to leave the custom resolution alone for now.

I sure hope it is an easy fix - I have a studio booked for Wednesday.

Did you have a memory card installed when you powered it back on?

Spark currently won’t boot properly without a card inserted, so I’d double-check that the card is seated correctly and then try starting it again. Hopefully it’s just that.

Yep, memory card installed and checked. Still freezing at startup. Ugh. I am hoping there is a safe-mode boot procedure. I will just have to wait and see what they say. There is a factory reset, but it assumes the camera is already booted.
