Why haven't you pledged yet?

I’m hoping we can get at least one non-sponsored review by October 16! Thanks

Sending the camera to Gerald Undone (the Dynamic Range GOD) would be Godsend!

I did not pledge yet because sincerely I am not convinced yet. To little footage I mean Raw with very little explanations on it.No idea what sensor is being used.Yeah is appearing like a “bargain” and marketed for content creators but no idea what the quality is not only of the footage bot of the components also, maybe outside the fence is painted and inside is a leopard  Is like a gamble this one, but a 8 K gamble not a 2 usd lottery ticket.I understand the enthusiasm, new product, bla, bla, bla but is still a gambe with so little info. I saw a post from Philip Bloom that his review will be out in few days, I trust that guy he is honest in most of the cases. So this guys sent few cameras out in the wild to “influencers” to swing the public oppinion, but so far so good I saw no indeep review from a trusted guy, I do not care about the stupid advertorials.

Awesome! Can’t wait to hear Phillip Bloom’s review! He the OG master!

I saw that David released the RAW files he shot, and they look much better than what’s on YouTube:

Yeah, I saw those too. Much better but still see those black dots. I tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing.

What’s the consensus all! Should I pledge?? Only about 34 units left! I need some encouragement. hehe

It doesn’t hurt to pledge and cancel if you decide not to go through with it?

Yeah, I know. You’re totally right. lol Just antsy right now.  I see they are close to the $3,000,000 mark which would unlock the free two year warranty I think.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We completely understand your desire for high-quality, neutral reviews and we agree that experts like Philip Bloom and Gerald Undone have the kind of credibility we all value.

We’ve heard the community’s concerns regarding some of the current reviews. On the topic of paid promotions, we’d like to add that while we understand the skepticism, we also believe that a paid promotion doesn’t automatically mean a review isn’t objective and neutral. Many creators maintain their integrity and provide honest feedback regardless of sponsorship.

On that note, we have some good news to share: Philip Bloom’s test video of the Spark is coming soon! We are just as excited as you are for his review and are confident that he will bring a professional and neutral perspective.

Please know that our team deeply values your trust. Securing authentic, credible reviews from experts is a top priority for us. Thank you for your patience and for your passion for our product.

@Young the Philip Bloom (p)review is very useful, thank you for arranging this!

The Pixboom imatest results you provided to him in the video look very promising. Please could you confirm (or otherwise) that these results are for the 10-bit sensor mode that is currently implemented in the camera?

@Young Yes I would like to know too if the dynamic range test chart shown in Phillip’s video are being doing in the 10 bit mode?

Yes, that result is based on the 10-bit mode, and the 12-bit mode will perform even better.

However, I must clarify our definition of dynamic range, and VRAPTOR’s interpretation of it was excellent:

For Spark, we define dynamic range as the maximum achievable in post-production after applying noise reduction algorithms in software like DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Photoshop. This is why you see the dynamic range for SNR=1 and SNR=2 is the same—it has already reached the upper limit of the sensor’s dynamic range.

23 left for first batch! I still haven’t pledged!

Just do it!

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with that price given the RRP after launch. Results so far look pretty good and the team seems committed to make IQ and functionality much better.

Not enough videos or RAW footage to convince me to pledge. I’ll probably wait next year for a used one for $6000 if I’m lucky.

A bold thesis: if the thing is good, you won’t be able to get it for 6,000 in a year, because the official price is 13,000. If it’s bad, we’ve all lost…let’s hope not.
