I would suggest something like an option for 10 seconds captured by pressing record at the end. Ideally a user could set the exact time. Thanks much, I’m on board and excited. - s
Got it! This sounds quite similar to the workflow of traditional high-speed cameras. Would another mode be feasible: continuous recording, but with the ability to trim the footage directly in-camera and save the segments you’re interested in as new clips?
+1 for prerecord.
For my needs about 5s (realtime) before trigger is all I would need max. But having this time adjustable would be fantastic.
Ability to trim in camera is neat if we can get rid of long clip to save storage, but a bit risky to mess up something.
I would like to fit 50-100 very short clips (experiments) before running out of space in SSD.
Anything that saves piling up footage unnecessarily is welcome, but the real time saving is in edit if you can have a bunch of discreet selects straight away with no need to copy or transcode or sift thru for key moments. For sports highlights this can be super helpful. In terms of suggestions for how to make the continuous record accomplish the same result, I’d say if you can trim clips in camera, it would go a long way, but require precious time during a shoot. During a live event, this would be a challenge and I foresee sports as a huge potential category. Thanks much, s
+1 !! A 2s pre-record is too short imo. 5s would be absolutely perfect !
5 second prerecord would be great!
Safe to say here in sum that, if it was possible to set the pre-roll time, it would be fantastic and big news in the industry.
