I know how difficult it is to launch a product having done that myself for my Subnox range of underwater video lights (www.subnoxdive.com). So I’m appreciative of the fact that they did try their best to accommodate me and match my early backer number.
I’ll admit there is some disappointment, but it’s not directed at them. Pixboom have done a phenomenal job so far bringing this to market with only minimal delays for such a technically complicated product. I may fly over to Hong Kong to self collect after my US trip to the Scuba Show Expos in Long Beach and Atlantic City instead…

Very cool. Some years ago we moved in the same circles and I know many UW photographers/videographers and many in the dive industry. I used to work for a leading liveaboard company, so have known of you and your work for many years.

I got my confirmation last Friday (4am), I replied same day (10am), and got a message on Monday (3am) that they received my confirmation. No shipping notice yet, however, so even after confirmation people may not get theirs shipped right away. Backer 13.

at this point, what was the point of staying up late to even be first in the line.
at least a courtesy email to explain the situation would have been cool, and offer picking it up in HK. its not a too far off flight.
but wells, i guess we are at the bottom of the pecking order due to where we live.

Please let us know if it shows up with a bill that you have to pay or not. I know that a bunch of people are scared of getting a surprise bill to pay before getting our hands on the camera, I sure am part of those people!
