Hey,
Testing with my Pixboom today at my rental house. After recording and pulling media to download, the media will not mount. I can see the drive is recognized on my computer but the drive with files will not mount.
Any advice?

Are you plugging in with the included USB-C cable… Just making sure its rated for data and not a power only USB-C..
Are you plugging in to the data port on the drive and not the power port?
Feel free to contact me directly if I can help…
Hey,
Yes I am using a USB-C cable from a samsung SSD harddrive as well as the pixboom provided usb-c cable. I am powering the drive with the correct 5v 3a usb-c base. The 2 lights on the drive show yellowish green.
The drive shows up in ‘disk utility’ but the volume will not mount.

Does the drive mount in your camera?
I am guess you have data on the drive and thus reformatting the Pro-card in the camera isn’t an option to try.
Have you tried having the drive in the camera and with the camera fully booted plugging into the usb port of the camera and using the camera itself as a reader. ( I actually have not tried to do this but I think it would work, No issues with at least trying.) I don’t have my camera near by otherwise I would try it myself.
I’m only testing today, so no important media on the card.
The card will mount in camera and it will record/playback in camera.
I tried reformatting the card in camera and in computer, but no luck.
I get this error when trying to mount the volume in disk utility : com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error 53249.)
Just tried to connect via USBC side port, but nothing mounts.
Here was a reddit post on that error - https://www.reddit.com/r/mac/comments/103w80z/external_drive_not_mounting_error_53249/
Basically they were saying run Disk Utility on macOS and do a repair to the drive.
My two Pro-cards have not presented with this error… However I could easily see this getting missed on some of the new ones leaving the warehouse. Let me Txt someone else and see if they can get a full answer … But my money is on doing a disk repair if Mac is seeing it but just not mounting it.
What OS version are you on? Somebody on an old version had this issue and it was fixed by updating.
SSD Mounting Issue on Mac
Interesting.. both my machines are on Tahoe and I haven’t had an issue. … Good to know it could be related to OS tho.
