This would be great! Also on maybe a double tap on the right side would give 5-10 or 15 second forward and a double tap on the left would do 5-10 or 15 second backwards similar to YouTube.
I will happily be a beta tester for this option. Shot deletion and in body trimming using I/O points would be a huge help!

I think you understand our point, and “other cinema cameras don’t have it” isn’t really an argument against adding a useful feature. I would guess that 80% or more of Spark users don’t even have a DIT or AC on set who can accidentaly delete a clip.
I’ve been shooting with Sony cameras for the past nine years and have never accidentally deleted an important clip 
. I honestly don’t understand the argument against including this option. A simple menu setting to enable or disable clip deletion would solve that concern.
Yesterday, I was filming ice climbing on a glacier. Getting there took three hours, including climbing, and the way back took another two and a half hours. There wasn’t even a proper path—we basically had to find our own way to the glacier. Bringing a laptop and backup storage just to free up space on the Spark would have been completely unrealistic.
Even just being able to delete the most recently recorded clip would already make a huge difference.
Absolutely no hate—I appreciate everyone taking part in the discussion and trying to make the Spark the best camera it can be

It’s actually a very good argument because of why no other cinema cameras have in camera clip deletion. It’s not a good idea, for reasons that have already been described.
It seems like there are different use cases for the Spark camera. these different use cases have different needs. this is the amazing thing about this camera. it can be used in so many different ways. compromises will be made.
Studio users want standards and integration with processes and equipment that have been well established for a long time.
Field users want standalone flexibility to minimize extra equipment.
Engineers(mechanical electrical) and Scientists want API control and accuracy

For a while, the Alexa Mini had the ability to delete the most recent clip, but they got rid of that ability in later updates.
I think the best solution is having the ability to enable/disable clip deleting in one of the menus. Don’t want to have it as an option? Toggle it off and it won’t even show up. Willing to live on the edge? Turn it on.

Did you download the latest v1.1.0 firmware from our official website? Based on your description, it sounds like you may have installed an intermediate build that has not yet been officially released. If possible, could you please share the App Version shown under Camera Information? This will help us investigate the issue.
Buffer Mode is a feature planned for a future release. It will allow users to end Pre-Record and save the buffered footage directly without proceeding to regular recording.
The on-camera preview and the preview in Pixboom Cine on PC should both use the same Rec.709 curve. The differences currently visible in the highlights and shadows may be caused by the characteristics of the displays themselves, but we’ll conduct further comparison tests to investigate.
Could you also let us know whether you see the same issue when monitoring on an external monitor via HDMI or SDI?

Thank you very much for your support! We’ve noted your requests and will evaluate them carefully. There are lots of interesting ideas here, so we’ll need a little time to review and digest them all. 
Any more news about dead pixels being seen in parts of the footage? Will there be a black calibration feature in the future to help resolve this issue? Also, can the debayer process be altered to better handle aliasing/moire in fine detail?

Our imaging algorithm team is actively working on this as a priority, although a few details still need to be finalized. Once the algorithm is ready, we’ll release the corresponding firmware update as soon as possible.

We really need to be able to output camera settings on the monitor. Shooting in wet environments with the camera bagged for protection, you are not able to see your settings at all. Also we greatly need more monitoring outputs, an exposure tool of some sort as the colour pipeline for monitors is not accurate.

I did previously have a non-official release that your team asked me to trial but I was then advised to intall the official release - which I have I done, but now have this issue.
The non-official release had this setting but when I set it to ‘standard-record’ it worked as standard recording. It’s only now that I’m using the official release that it’s not working.
I’ll try re-flashing the official firmware now and see if that fixes it.

Sincerely apologize, pre-release firmware may introduce unexpected issues.
Buffer Mode is currently under development and is planned for the next firmware update.
To resolve the current issue and restore normal operation, please perform a factory reset.

Could I request for the next Pixboom Cine update that we have a few more keyboard shortcut keys? Like for marking in and out points, navigating through clips, Etc.
I frequently work with a dialpad which I can assign keyboard shortcuts to but can’t seem to find any apart from jog and play/pause.

Honestly, I would like it to be possible to record directly in the camera in ProRes format. Because of the memory, it is ok for many users. I think it is a solid codec. It would make the way from the camera to the software part of the story easier.
